General Manager – Gulliver’s Valley Theme Park Resort

Gulliver’s family theme parks are growing and our most giant venture to date, Gulliver’s valley Resort, is due to open in Spring 2020.

We are now seeking a proven general manager to lead us into the opening of our exciting new development in Rother Valley, South Yorkshire.

Phase 1 of the operational resort will include more than fifty theme park rides, attractions, shows, activities and experiences, plus a selection of themed accommodation. Subsequent years will see steady and significant growth of the resort, and we’re really keen to meet aspiring individuals with the desire to thrive alongside this exciting development.

Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will have all the necessary credentials and experience to lead every aspect of resort operations including health and safety, guest experience, hospitality, food and beverage, rides, attractions and entertainments management.

You will share the Gulliver’s commitment to our young family audience whilst also identifying year round venue opportunities for community projects, corporate markets, functions and special events.

Your high energy, infectious enthusiasm and a desire to lead from the front will all combine to inspire your team to deliver the very best experience for our guests, balanced equally with your keen focus on efficiency and financial controls to maximise productivity and profitability.

Gulliver's theme park resorts have a history spanning 41 years with theme park resorts in Matlock Bath, Warrington and Milton Keynes. Our resorts attract young families with children aged 2 to 13 years.

Our previously advertised Management roles for Gulliver’s Valley have attracted in excess of 3,000 applicants and we expect an especially significant number of applications for this most challenging leadership role of Resort General Manager. Theme Park Trainee Managers

Our family Theme Parks are thriving and we have recently announced the addition of a brand new resort project at Rother Valley which means we need more great leaders for the future.  Following the huge success of our Trainee Manager programme for 5 consecutive years, we are delighted to announce its return in 2019.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing business in a challenging leadership role at one of Gulliver’s theme park resorts at Warrington, Milton Keynes, Matlock Bath, and Rotherham.

With a hands-on approach and excellent communication skills, you’ll be used to organising and dealing with customers, be innovative with your ideas and have an infectious enthusiasm that engages and inspires those around you.

The Trainee Manager programme will be structured over a 12 month period starting in May 2019 and will include:

A number of placements across different areas of the business.

First class training programme to develop skills and knowledge.

Senior level mentor from within the business and access to external development coaches and experts.

Ownership of bespoke projects which will challenge skills and develop learning.

You’ll be a high energy, ambitious individual who is prepared to work hard to gain experience and develop new skills in order to progress into more senior leadership roles within the business. The ability to work across all of our locations is essential and you will be able to demonstrate evidence of a strong work ethic from your previous experiences.

Gulliver's theme parks are a family business with a history spanning more than 40 years. Our resorts include hotels & lodges, a campsite, Splash Zones, Dinosaur and Farm Park, high ropes experiences and Blast Arenas.
