Our partnership with The Very Hungry Caterpillar was initiated through Rocket Licensing. It was immediately clear that working together we could bring the magic of this much-loved children’s book to thousands of guests across our resorts. The Very Hungry Caterpillar was first published in 1969 and remains a global phenomenon. Our aim is to honour the extraordinary legacy of Eric Carle and his iconic creation. For some of our guests this will be their first introduction to The Very Hungry Caterpillar and that’s something we’re immensely proud of.

Starting in 2021 guests were given the opportunity to meet The Very Hungry Caterpillar with special appearances at Gulliver’s Milton Keynes and our newest theme park, Gulliver’s Valley in South Yorkshire. From grandparents to toddlers, The Very Hungry Caterpillar has a special connection to so many of our guests. It's not just through meet and greet opportunities that we can build upon this connection, our goal is to expand upon educational activities, reading sessions and so much more.

As our partnership with the Very Hungry Caterpillar continues to grow, so do the opportunities for creative projects between our two brands. Together we have designed and constructed The Very Hungry Caterpillar Cocoon, a world exclusive. Nestled into a beautiful woodland section of the resort, guests are transported back to nature. Families can relax or explore, surrounded by trees and open space. When it's time to visit Dinosaur and Farm, The Very Hungry Caterpillar will be there to greet them.
